ABOUT US
RAYMOND DOBBE – founder/Director
I have been a grafter all my life and do not pretend to be an academic or prolific reader, but rather a street-smart learner and doer.
People would see me as a seasoned New Zealand entrepreneur with a diverse portfolio of business ventures spanning several decades. I began his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 22 and have since founded and developed multiple successful businesses.
I am now in a comfortable position that enables me to investigate and develop businesses “for good”.
My latest venture is this company, BiocharTP that focuses on upcycling wastes into biochar, a form of charcoal used to improve soil health and sequester carbon. We have developed a mobile, high-temperature, smokeless incinerator designed to process waste wood and slash, converting it into biochar.
In addition to BiocharTP, I am involved in developing Carbon-Kai, a company aiming to develop a pine and mineral-based animal feed supplement that reduces methane production in Animals while increasing animal health and productivity.
I like to be part of teams that facilitate and enable people and businesses alike to leave this world in a healthy space, with ethical, fair, and financially positive outcomes for all involved. I prefer to focus on what I can do well: spotting opportunities, looking outside “the square”, and networking to facilitate results.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a commitment to sustainability and innovation, focusing on projects that offer environmental benefits and support regenerative practices. My approach emphasises ethical and fair processes, aiming to leave a positive impact on the environment, the staff, and the communities my businesses serve.
I have been fortunate to be surrounded with good positive people, who I have learnt much from.
I am a keen motorcyclist and proud dad of two beautiful grown humans and one dog
